Who’s HETS Board?

HETS Board of Directors isconstituted by Presidents of affiliated institutions, or their designated representatives, and they are responsible for making the Consortium’s decisions regarding strategic issues.

Are Board Members required to register for the Best Practices Showcase?

Board Members are invited to participate from the Best Practices Showcase 2023 plenary sessions and concurrent sessions scheduled for the mornings of both days (February 2-3), and are not required to register for the event.

Participation at the Board Meeting is by invitation only. To those invited, we encourage you to please fill out the following form.

Hotel Reservation

Lodging accommodations will be provided at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan, a recently opened hotel, located only 5 minutes from the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in the Isla Verde area, close to restaurants, attractions and the beach.

HETS Staff will be assisting attendees in confirming their reservations. However, each person is responsible for paying for their full reservation.

HETS daily group rate       

  • $229 for a Studio King Room
  • $239 for a Studio Queen/Queen Room
  • A $25 daily fee applies for each third and fourth adult in room
  • Applicable daily taxes and fees:
    • $35 daily hotel destination fee
      • Includes: enhanced Internet connection through all hotel public spaces and guestrooms; beach chairs and umbrellas for guest enjoyment at the beach (subject to availability); and bicycle rentals (subject to availability).
    • 9% government tax in effect at the time of check-out
    • $2 daily housekeeping fee
  • Other concessions:
    • Daily buffet breakfast included in rate.
    • Daily $35 credit in food and beverage per room, per day. Credit is non-transferable and must be used only at the hotel’s restaurants.  

Important dates

  1. Reservations must be made on or before December 20, 2022. After that day, room availability is not guaranteed at this hotel.

Changes to existing reservations will only be accepted until Friday, January 13, 2023. Changes made after that day may incur in penalties.
