Description of the topic: Designed to provide faculty with practical tools to develop more solid and empathetic relationships with their students. It proposes activities to increase academic success and student persistence. The participants will learn the importance of active listening and deep understanding in building genuine connections with students. Topics covered will include strategies for overcoming communication barriers, fostering a trusting and supportive environment in the face-to-face or virtual classroom. At the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a set of practical skills that they can apply immediately to improve their relationship with students and promote more meaningful and enriching learning.
