As the team member responsible for curating professional development content and planning workshops for my department, I aim to gain the skills and insights needed to drive technological adoption and innovation at LAGCC. My hope is to bring these strategies back to the team and upskill our instructors to better serve their students using technology.

Three issues are enrollment, technology adoption (especially AI), and lack of soft-skills preparation for the workplace.
2. What are your own institution’s priorities and challenges with regard to leveraging instructional technology and distance education for the benefit of the entire organization? (no more than 300 words) / ¿Cuáles son las prioridades y los retos de su institución con respecto al aprovechamiento de la tecnología educativa y la educación a distancia en beneficio de toda la organización?:
Many of the instructors find new technology difficult. They do not leverage it to their advantage. CUNY as a whole is embracing more virtual offerings, which is great.
3. If have the influence to instill change at your Institution, was one thing you could change, what would that be; and what is the unique aspect of your institution you would like to keep? I would introduce the entrepreneurial mindset to students and offer more courses and resources that encourage and support entrepreneurship. I would keep the diversity of offerings as LAGCC caters towards many industries and students of all backgrounds.
