Business/Computer Educator at Southeast Missouri State University
Tonya Skinner has taught in a variety of sizes of schools and has served as an adult education teacher, adjunct college instructor at Southeast Missouri State University, middle/high school teacher, and industry trainer. During her teaching career, she has served on the board for both the North Central Business Education (NCBEA) and Missouri Business Education Association (MBEA) both as a teacher and as a student, and is a past president of MBEA. Teaching technology is her passion as she spends most summers speaking to teachers and providing online webinars on many technology programs, including implementing AI in the classroom. In her 28 years of teaching, she’s taught just about everything in secondary business education from 4th grade keyboarding to Business Law to Desktop Publishing and even pre-kindergarten summer school computers. Her biggest hope when speaking to groups is that she can get them as excited as she is about what she is blessed to do each day—teach students to be lifelong learners and embrace the opportunity to be an enthusiastic and positive role model for life. She loves sharing resources through her Facebook page and helping teachers to reach their full potential.
