My name is Kevin Ferran, and I am currently a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Psychology, with the goal of continuing into a clinical doctoral program (Psy.D). I am deeply passionate about understanding the human mind and using that knowledge to support others through counseling and community engagement.
Before beginning my first year of university, I was accepted into Avanzando Profesionales y Servicios de Salud Mental de la Albizu (APSSA), a federally funded program for emerging psychologists. Since then, I’ve also been chosen to serve as the student ambassador for the university president and was selected to represent my institution at the National Conference on Student Life (NCSL) in Orlando.
I’ve been actively involved in a student association called Confra UCA for the past 10 months. This is a faith-based group where students come together to encourage one another and grow in community. For the past 5 months, I’ve served as the association’s treasurer, managing our financial records and helping ensure the group runs smoothly.
Academically, I’ve been recognized for maintaining an excellent GPA and plan to continue contributing through volunteer service at my university. Outside of academics, I enjoy biking, physical exercise, volleyball, and badminton—activities that help me stay balanced and disciplined in all areas of life.
