Carlos Vazquez
Is the Founder and President of Miami EdTech, a nonprofit dedicated to closing the digital skills gap through computer science education, digital skilling, and work-based learning. Raised in the South Bronx and formally trained in computer science, Carlos has spent over 20 years at the intersection of education and technology as a teacher, technologist, and workforce innovator. He leads Miami EdTech’s Registered Apprenticeship programs in AI, UX/UI, and cybersecurity, and is the creator of GoSprout, an apprenticeship management platform used by schools, employers, and workforce agencies. Carlos is deeply committed to expanding equitable career pathways for Hispanic and underserved learners.
Roger Rodriguez
Is the Apprenticeship Director at Miami EdTech, where he leads the implementation and expansion of Registered Apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship pathways in high-demand fields such as AI, cybersecurity, and UX/UI design. With a background in workforce development, technology integration, and program operations, Roger works closely with employers, educators, and workforce agencies to ensure high-quality on-the-job training experiences that align with industry standards. He oversees program compliance, mentor engagement, and student support systems across Miami EdTech’s GoSprout-powered initiatives. Roger is passionate about creating equitable, skills-based career pathways that open doors for Hispanic, first-generation, and underrepresented learners.
