Eng. Eduardo Díaz

Eduardo Díaz is an information technology and telecommunications professional with extensive leadership experience in Internet governance and technical policy. He previously served as President of the North American At-Large Organization (NARALO) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), representing and protecting the interests of end users in Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico within the Domain Name System (DNS).
He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Internet Society Puerto Rico Chapter and the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Puerto Rico College of Engineers and Surveyors. Eduardo is also a founding member of several key organizations, including ISOC Puerto Rico, NARALO, and the North American School of Internet Governance (NASIG).
His professional background includes senior technical and leadership roles at the Puerto Rico Telephone Company and AT&T Bell Labs. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Alfredo Calderón Serrano, Vice President of the Internet Society Puerto Rico Chapter

Alfredo Calderón Serrano serves as Vice President of the Internet Society Puerto Rico Chapter and is a member of the ISOC Early Career and Mid-Career Fellowship Reviewer Team, supporting the development of future leaders in the global Internet ecosystem. He is the recipient of ICANN’s 2025 Dr. Tarek Kamel Award for Capacity Building, recognizing his sustained contributions to global capacity development. He is also a two-time ARIN Fellow and a three-time ICANN Fellowship recipient. His long-standing engagement with ICANN includes extensive service across At-Large working groups and his role as a 2024 NomCom Delegate, contributing to the selection of ICANN’s global leadership.
In addition, Mr. Calderón Serrano is an Information Technology consultant, educational technologist, and experienced facilitator specializing in distance learning, instructional design, and capacity building in higher education and K–12 environments. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he brings more than three decades of experience integrating learning management systems, designing online and hybrid programs, and training faculty in innovative teaching methodologies.
Mr. Calderón holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics and Education, a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching (Chemistry). He is a co-founder of the North American School of Internet Governance (NASIG) and the Virtual School of Internet Governance (VSIG), where he has contributed to academic program development, fellowship selection, and content management.
