Ponce Health Sciences University boasts over 45 years of experience in providing world-class education to highly qualified students across the programs offered in our academic portfolio. Throughout our history, we have produced over 4,000 graduates in Medicine, Clinical Psychology, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, and soon, Dental Medicine. Our institution is widely recognized in Puerto Rico and other nations for its strong focus on health sciences, incorporating a robust scientific research component that addresses health disparities within the Latino community and other minority groups.
Rankings, awards, and/or accreditations: Ponce Health Sciences University is Accredited by Junta de Instituciones Postsecundarias (JIP) in Puerto Rico and by the Missouri Higher Education and Workforce Development (MHEWD) in St. Louis. As a regional accreditor PHSU counts with the accreditation of Middle States Commision on Higher Education (MSCHE) and our programs and schools have the quality seal of Programmatic Accreditations such as: the Liason Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the American Psychological Association (APA), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and the Council of Education for Public Health.
