Best Practices in Online Student Support Services (2-day Workshop)
HETS Cordially invites you to participate in a 2-day workshop featuring invited facilitator Pat Shea, research expert in Online Student Support Services and Assistant Director for Member Services of the Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications.
As assistant director of the Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications (WCET), Patricia (Pat) Shea has oversight for the annual conference and the membership program. She also heads WCET”s research efforts in online student services, designing and directing its new audit service. Recently, she directed WCET”s FIPSE-funded LAAP project to design Web-based student services and moderated both WCET webcast series on providing student services for distance learners. Prior to these projects, Shea assisted WCET members in developing virtual universities at several levels. Before joining WCET in 1996, she worked for the National School Boards Association and an international telemessenging association. She holds an M.A. in educational administration and supervision from George Mason University and is a former Fulbright scholar.
