For more than 40 years, NUC University has been a university institution where students receive an education of excellence that promotes their integral development and enriches them with an academic offering of excellence through its programs at the doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s, associate degree and technical certificate levels, and its continuing education division. In addition, NUC has an online education division and has extensive online and hybrid offerings from its NUC University – Florida Technical College (NUC-FTC) campuses, which serve students in more than 37 U.S. states. NUC plans to continue to develop as a complete educational system through new programs, new locations, new modalities and new academic levels.
Rankings, awards, and/or accreditations: NUC University is an institution authorized by the Board of Postsecondary Institutions (JIP) through the institutional license 2021-166. It has also been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NUC is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission). NUC’s NUC University – IBC Technical Division (NUC-IBC), NUC University – Florida Technical College (NUC-FTC), and The Digital Animation & Visual Effects School (The DAVE School) are included in this accreditation. NUC is also accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Standards through Fall 2027, and the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation’s Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC).

Location
NUC has seven campuses located in Puerto Rico. It also has an educational division in the state of Florida with seven campuses under the denomination of NUC University – Florida Technical College (NUC-FTC) and one campus under the denomination of DAVE School, dedicated to offering Digital Animation and Visual Effects programs. It also has a Technical Division with 12 units in Puerto Rico that offer post-secondary technical-vocational programs.

Student Mobility
Internships, student trips, and/or cultural experiences that expose students to a bilingual environment or immersion in Spanish: The NUC University’s Professional Development Center (CDP, for its acronym in Spanish) and its commitment to the university community to offer our students of Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, Bartending, Tourism, and other programs, the opportunity to participate in internships, training and apply for jobs in the United States has established relationships and agreements with Orange Hospitality, Disney College, Tourism Company, among others. The internships are held in various locations in Tennessee, Missouri, Orlando, among others, giving our students the real work experience they need to excel in their careers as industry professionals. Initiative or activity that promotes student mobility at your institution: NUC has several collaborative agreements with recognized companies inside and outside PR. These, through coordination, promote that students achieve practical experiences of academic and professional development related to their areas of study. In addition, it carries out social, cultural and student organization activities that seek the integration of students in various scenarios, either within NUC institutions or outside them.
Financial Aid
The different types of financial aid offered by the Institution are as follows: 1) Federal Pell Grant Program: this grant does not have to be repaid by the student. Funds for this program are available for eligible undergraduate students. The eligibility for this program is determined by a standard formula provided by the US Department of Education; 2) Federal Direct Loan Program: enables eligible students and parents to borrow directly from the US Department of Education. The program provides low interest loans that must be repaid with interest; 3) Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Program: is an award to help those eligible undergraduate students having the greatest financial need (with priority given to Pell Grant recipients), and it doesn’t have to be repaid. The amount of the award is based on need and availability of funds; 4) JIP Programs/State Grants Program: these funds are assigned to the institution by the Board of Postsecondary Institutions for eligible students with financial need who are enrolled in a master’s, bachelor’s or associate’s degree program; 5) Institutional Grant: High School Senior 2024: to be eligible, students must meet these requirements: complete the Institutional Scholarship Application on or before October 31, 2024, enroll and attend a program offered at any NUC Puerto Rico and/or NUC-South Florida location on or before October 31, 2024; have not previously enrolled in any of our locations; maintain satisfactory academic progress; complete all courses enrolled in each semester of their first academic year; be a High School graduated and have completed High School or the equivalent in the year 2024. 6) Institutional Grant: High School Senior: awards $200.00 to students enrolled in programs leading to a diploma and $300.00 to students enrolled in programs leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree that have not previously enrolled in any of our locations, and that demonstrates evidence of having completed high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher; 7) Institutional Grant: Healthcare Heroes: awards $200.00 to students enrolled in health-related programs leading to a diploma and $300 to students enrolled in programs leading to an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree; 8) Institutional Grant: “Creciendo Contigo” (Growing With You): awards $200.00 to students enrolled in programs after previously completing a program at one of NUC University’s locations; 9) Institutional Grant: “Por ti, Contigo” (For You, With You): awards $200.00 to new students enrolled in programs leading to a diploma, and $300 to new students enrolled in programs leading to an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Federal Work Study (FWS) Program: The Federal Work Study Program provides jobs for eligible students with financial aid need as defined by the US Department of Education. Federal Work Study gives students the opportunity to earn money to help pay educational expenses. The amount of the awards is based on need and availability of funds.
