John Hunt is the Assistant Dean for Pre-College Programs in the Division of Adult and Continuing Education at LaGuardia Community College (CUNY), where he oversees non-credit, adult programs in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), GED, alternative developmental education, and post-secondary transitions. He has presented at the White House National Skills and Credential Institute, has served as a Subject Matter Expert and Coach for the American Institute for Research (AIR) Teaching Skills That Matter (TSTM) and Advance Integrated Education and Training projects, and published a chapter on noncredit pathways for New Americans in Working toward an Equitable and Prosperous Future for All: How Community Colleges and Immigrants Are Changing America. As a first-generation graduate from an immigrant family and a Spanish speaker, Mr. Hunt is dedicated to strengthening educational and career pathways for adult learners.
