Queensborough Community College utilizes online courses and services to create a seamless interaction between a vibrant campus life and ease of communication and convenience for our students.
The College offers a number of fully online (asynchronous) courses including Introduction to Philosophy, Psychology, Introduction to Macroeconomics and Intermediate Spanish I as well as partly online (hybrid) courses such as Introduction to Literature, Elements of Marketing, and Web Technology II: Building Database Driven Web Sites. Student services include online advisement and registration; QueensZine, the CollegeÂ’s online journal of arts and ideas; and soon the Instructional Support Services Center will pilot I-Pass, a study skills and tutoring site. Degree programs that prepare students for careers in digital fields are Digital Art and Design and New Media Technology. Queensborough is also a participant in the HETS-sponsored inter-institutional online program Cross Cultural Nursing.
