Dr. Lisbel M. Correa Suárez

Associate Professor of the Humanistic and Pedagogical Department of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus, and as a exemption, she assists the Dean of Academic Affairs in directing the Center for Research and Academic Production (CIPA). She holds a doctorate degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from the Fischler School of Education at Nova Southeastern University’s. She also has a master’s degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Systems from Caribbean University. During the past years, she has been noted for her publications focused on the evaluation of training programs for online teachers, the impact of aesthetic and visual aspects in distance education, the instructional design of online courses, and the presence in virtuality. She collaborated with the initiative of the Department of State of Puerto Rico, Virtual Educa (Observatory) and the Hispanic Educational Technology Services (HETS) for the development of the book “Virtual and distance education in Puerto Rico”. She has collaborated as an advisor and coordinator in the development of online courses and programs, and digital resources for the innovation of online and traditional instruction. She is the designer of the ACIV Instructional Design Model which has been applied to the design of online courses. Also, Doctor Correa has collaborated in the curricular and instructional design of courses, certifications, diplomas, academic programs, among other efforts for distance education.

Catedrática Asociada del Departamento Humanístico y Pedagógico de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Ponce, y como dispensa especial, asiste al Decanato de Asuntos Académicos en la dirección del Centro de Investigación y Producción Académica (CIPA). Posee un doctorado en Tecnología Instruccional y Educación a Distancia de la Fischler School of Education de Nova Southeastern University. También cuenta con una maestría en Tecnología Educativa y Sistemas de Instrucción de la Caribbean University. Durante los pasados años, se ha destacado por sus publicaciones con enfoque en la evaluación de programas de capacitación para los docentes en línea, el impacto de los aspectos estéticos y visuales en la educación a distancia, el diseño instruccional de cursos en línea, y la presencia en la virtualidad. Colaboró con la iniciativa del Departamento de Estado de Puerto Rico, Virtual Educa (Observatorio) y el Hispanic Educational Technology Services (HETS) para el desarrollo del libro “Educación virtual y a distancia en Puerto Rico”. Ha colaborado como asesora y coordinadora en el desarrollo de cursos y programas en línea, y de recursos digitales para la innovación de la instrucción en línea y tradicional. Es la diseñadora del Modelo de diseño instruccional ACIV el cual ha sido aplicado para diseño de cursos en línea. También, ha colaborado en el diseño curricular e instruccional diseñando cursos, certificaciones, diplomados, programas académicos, entre otros esfuerzos para la educación a distancia.
