Patricia Ramírez Gelpí holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in rights in the intellectual property area of George Washington University Law School. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in museumology and restoration of works of art from the Universitá Internazionale dell’Arte in Florence, Italy.
Patricia began her professional career in the legal department of the federal agency Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in Washington D.C. She served as Director of Intellectual Property of the Ana G. Méndez University System (SUAGM), where she developed the institution’s intellectual property policies, as well as a training program with teaching materials aimed at teaching and administrative staff on the importance of the importance , impact and implications of copyright in the different areas of the academic practices.
In 2017 he founded Afterthought Solutions LLC, offering consulting services to companies for the development and implementation of their intellectual property strategies. She is a course facilitator in the business administration area of the UAGM Ahora Program, a contributor to Grupo Guayacán, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Adaptive Conservation, Inc. t/c/c, and author of the book: Copyright, What are they and how do they affect us?
