Jessica González

Highly motivated first-generation college sophomore at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics pending May 2025. Adaptable problem-solver, a hard-working team player, and dedicated to expanding my knowledge and skills. Motivated Peer Mentor of 9 Computer Science Students in the Scholars Academy at UHD. Participated as a peer mentor in research with Dr. Ling Xu for the DOED MSEIP program at UHD. We researched game development for student engagement in the Fall of 2022, constructed a sound meditation interface in the Spring of 2023, and conducted a study assessment on VR Meditation in the Summer of 2023.
