Izarys G. Gutiérrez Soto

Izarys G. Gutiérrez Soto holds a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Journalism from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico. During college, she interned for the regional digital media Voces del Sur and published articles on culture and politics. In addition, Izarys conducted a journalistic investigation on the tremors of 2020 “Tiembla el sur y decae el turismo” (The south trembles and tourism declines). At the age of 14, Izarys was the President of the National Junior Honor Society of Puerto Rico (SNJHPR) where she organized workshops, assemblies and conventions focused on student leadership. At 22, Izarys worked as a digital journalist for the newspaper El Vocero de Puerto Rico, where she published countless reports on local and international issues.


Izarys G. Gutiérrez Soto posee un bachillerato en comunicaciones con concentración en Periodismo de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. Durante sus años de estudió realizó un internado para el medio digital regional Voces del Sur y publicó artículos sobre cultura y política. Además, realizó una investigación periodística sobre los temblores del 2020 “Tiembla el sur y decae el turismo”. A sus 14 años presidió la Sociedad Nacional Juvenil de Honor de Puerto Rico (SNJHPR) donde organizaba talleres, asambleas y convenciones enfocadas en el liderazgo estudiantil. A sus 22 años se desempeñó como periodista digital del periódico El Vocero de Puerto Rico, donde publicó un sinnúmero de reportajes sobre temas locales e internacionales.
