Offering 28 associate degree programs and two certificate programs, Hostos provides students with a clear path to seamless transfers to four-year colleges within CUNY and beyond. Notably, Hostos graduates have regularly achieved admission to prestigious universities, including the Ivy League.
Hostos Community College is proud to announce its recognition in three significant national accolades that highlight its commitment to academic excellence and student success. For 2024, the College has been ranked #7 in Intelligent.com’s “Best Community Colleges in New York” list and #5 among the top Practical Nursing programs in New York roster by PracticalNursing.org. For a third time, Hostos also secured a place among the Aspen Prize Top 150 U.S. Community Colleges.

Hostos Online offers completely asynchronous online degrees. Asynchronous courses and all class materials are available to enrolled students online 24/7 on Blackboard, the learning management system used across CUNY. Our Professional Development Study Abroad Program provides opportunities for CUNY students, faculty, staff, and other educators to increase their understanding of the history, culture, and educational system of overseas countries throughout the world. Financial Aid
Hostos Community College’s now offers an online scholarship management system! This new system provides all currently enrolled Hostos students access to a myriad of need-and-merit based scholarships. The system is user friendly and matches you automatically with scholarships within your eligibility by using your GPA, course of study and the information you provide. The site also has a page that includes links to external scholarship pages and additional outside funding. The Federal Work- Study (FWS) Program is a need based federally funded program that offer students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that will enhance their job skills. FWS employment may be offered to student employees in several ways: on campus, off campus, and/or through Public Service Corp (PSC). Federal guidelines prohibit students from working during scheduled class hours. Work hours must be arranged in a way that it does not conflict with class hours. Typical jobs include clerical work, providing overall assistance to departments such as the Library, Computer Labs, and tutoring.
Student Support Services
At our Hostos One Stop, we offer supportive services to ensure that you have a successful college experience and are able to complete your degree. Our One Stop Center provides FREE referrals to services that can help address the needs of Hostos students so that they can remain in school and succeed academically.
