Bio
Dr. Melissa Baralt (Professor) and Amber Lassiter (Director of the Academic Support Center)
Dr. Baralt has been at Berkeley College for 5 years. Has a PhD in molecular Pathology and Immunology. Has won Teacher of the Year and Honors faculty of the year awards for the college. Ms. Lassiter is an excellent manager and is committed to running student academic support.
General description of the initiative or project
We are exploring different ways to successfully test students. Group testing has been proven as a great tool in motivating students and promoting retention of students in a major way. The formation of a cheat sheet and carrying out of a group plan to test helps students learn and use critical thinking skills.
