Why it should be considered best practice?
Discuss why this project should be considered a “best practice”
-Course Planner: An academic planning resource that provides accurate information to the faculty about academic operating practices. This information is available to students through CANVAS. The course planner is aligned to the Expected Learning Outcomes. The course planner is complemented by seeking information resources and assessment activities. These practices have generated positive comments regarding academic achievement, student and faculty satisfaction, and quality of operations.
-Quantitative and Qualitative Institutional Assessment: Periodic evaluations are performed in order to evaluate the quality of academic and administrative services, including qualitative and quantitative research designed to improve our services. There has been a 5% increase in student satisfaction from 2013 to 2014. Retention results are increasing.
-Student Activities and Virtual Community: Consists of a complex and successful platform (measured through visits and student opinions) that provides students with a range of activities such as forums, virtual conferences, classroom activities (student committee), exchanges of points of view, interactive material, among other extracurricular activities in order to create a deep sense of school community.
– Operational Unity (service strategy): The addition of academic advisors to different programs to propel the specialization and concatenation of academic strategies, thus maintaining an effective value chain. Effective practices (best practices) include monitoring contact with students, statistics of calls made, continuous training, and strategic and operational planning.
