From my perspective, three key issues facing higher education today are adapting to rapid technological change, improving student engagement and retention, and ensuring equitable access to quality education. The rise of artificial intelligence and digital tools is transforming how students learn, requiring faculty to continuously adapt teaching methods and curricula. At the same time, many institutions face challenges in keeping students engaged and supported, particularly in diverse and often non-traditional student populations. Finally, equity remains a critical concern, as not all students have equal access to resources, technology, and support systems. Addressing these issues is essential to preparing students for a rapidly evolving workforce and ensuring inclusive, effective learning environments.
