El Dr. Marcos A. Vélez Rivera es decano académico, educador y líder con más de 19 años de experiencia en la docencia y la administración educativa. Es autor del libro Educar para el 2050: preparando la próxima generación para un mundo cambiante y creador del modelo ARCO —marco metodológico propio para la comunicación auténtica y estratégica en la era de la inteligencia artificial. Es especialista en integración estratégica de inteligencia artificial en contextos educativos y organizacionales, reconocido por transformar la manera en que docentes, líderes y profesionales adoptan la IA como herramienta de comunicación, liderazgo y diseño pedagógico. Como facilitador certificado por Maxwell Leadership, ha participado en foros y conferencias en países como México, España, Colombia y Perú, entre otros. Es conductor del videopodcast Sala de Facultad y creador del canal de YouTube Profe Marcos Vélez, plataformas desde las cuales comparte recursos, estrategias y experiencias que transforman tanto el aprendizaje como la práctica docente en el mundo hispanohablante.
El Dr. Vélez obtuvo su doctorado en Historia de las Américas y un bachillerato en Historia del Arte de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. A lo largo de su carrera ha desempeñado roles administrativos significativos —incluyendo Vicerrector Asociado y Decano Asociado— y ha liderado procesos de acreditación y licenciamiento que han contribuido a elevar estándares académicos e institucionales.

Dr. Marcos A. Vélez Rivera is an academic dean, educator, and leader with more than 19 years of experience in teaching and educational administration. He is the author of the book Educating for 2050: Preparing the Next Generation for a Changing World and the creator of the ARCO model—a proprietary methodological framework for authentic and strategic communication in the age of artificial intelligence. He specializes in the strategic integration of artificial intelligence in educational and organizational contexts and is recognized for transforming the way teachers, leaders, and professionals adopt AI as a tool for communication, leadership, and instructional design. As a Maxwell Leadership-certified facilitator, he has participated in forums and conferences in countries such as Mexico, Spain, Colombia, and Peru, among others. He hosts the video podcast Sala de Facultad and created the YouTube channel Profe Marcos Vélez, platforms through which he shares resources, strategies, and experiences that transform both learning and teaching practice in the Spanish-speaking world.
Dr. Vélez earned his Ph.D. in History of the Americas and a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Puerto Rico. Throughout his career, he has held significant administrative roles—including Associate Vice President and Associate Dean—and has led accreditation and licensing processes that have contributed to raising academic and institutional standards.
