A 25-year veteran of public education, Kim Estes is the Senior Instructional Designer for Tarrant County College Connect Campus. Prior to returning to the classroom for two years where she was awarded Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2020 for Cleburne ISD, Kim was the Lead Learning Technologies Coach for Burleson ISD. In her 14 years with BISD she assisted with the adoption and roll-out of instructional technology, delivered professional development for instructors and administrators, and supervised a team of Learning Technologies Coaches who provided instructional support district-wide. A Google Certified Trainer and the 2015 TCEA Instructional Technologist of the Year, Kim is passionate about the role of technology in instruction and learning and has presented at the local, regional, state, national, and international level. She holds several certifications including Master Teacher of Technology and has her Principal certification. Kim holds a Masters’ Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology Education and a Masters’ Degree in Educational Technology Leadership. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Instructional Systems Design and Technology through Sam Houston State University. On a personal note, Kim is the proud wife of a retired Navy Chief, the blessed mother of six children, and the delighted grandmother to five adorable grandchildren.
