Chesapeake College, founded in 1965 as Maryland’s first regional community college, joined HETS in December 2023, in a commitment to providing transformative educational experiences and expanding access to excellence, convenience, and affordability for its diverse student population on the Eastern Shore.
Chesapeake College has been a driving force in regional economic development and sustainability, offering over 50 college majors, certificate programs, career training, non-credit workforce training, and lifelong learning opportunities.
