This research project embarks on how online ESOL courses empower English learners to thrive in college by providing flexible, accessible language instruction that builds their proficiency and communication skills. Highlights of your proposed presentation
While researching about how and why ESOL online courses unlock advantages and have transformative potential of digital language education for English language learners, it was surprising how few colleges and universities offer an online platform for these students. Through an extensive review of literature, surveys, and observations, I’ve learned that personalized, self-paced learning experiences, interactivity, and access to diverse resources are key elements to Make ESOL online courses highly effective. Additionally, I’ve recognized that online courses foster digital literacy and independence, skills that extend beyond language acquisition and provide an interconnected world. My research highlights the promising path that ESOL online courses pave the future for language education and underscores the need for their continued integration in academic settings to support English language learners effectively.
The Evaluation Committee will evaluate submitted proposals based on the following criteria. Each area will be rated on a scale from 1 to 7 (1= non-satisfactory; 7 =outstanding), for a maximum of 63 points.
