Atenas College was recognized as a “School of Distinction” during the years 2006 and 2010 by the “Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges” (ACCSC), a national accrediting agency. In 2009, it became the first institution in Puerto Rico to adopt the simulation strategy in the teaching process through the Center for Simulation and Clinical Learning (Simulated Hospital). In 2010, received special recognition from Laerdal Medical, for being the pioneers in implementing the strategy of clinical simulation in Puerto Rico. Atenas University DMLH is accreditation by Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Additionally, its Associate of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The University is distinguished by its specialized academic programs in the healthcare field.

Academic Programs
Programs that can be started and/or completed online from anywhere in the US or LATAM and the contact information: Master’s Degree in Health Science with a Specialty in Administration. The clinical externship is required to be completed in person. Master’s Degree in Nursing Science with Specialty in Emergency and Trauma, Role in Administration. Mention any other initiative or activity that promotes student mobility at your institution: Atenas University DMLH is a leader in Puerto Rico integrating clinical simulation theory as an educational strategy in the curriculum, through its Clinical Simulation Center, better known as the simulated hospital. This center is equipped with high-tech equipment and recreates interprofessional scenarios, allowing students to participate in simulated clinical experiences before their actual hospital exposure.
