A Legacy of Excellence: Dr. Carolyn G. Williams honored by HETS after 15 years of service as President of Bronx Community College

Bronx Community College joined the HETS Consortium in 2004 drive by the visionary President of this Institution, Dr. Carolyn Williams. For the past seven years, Dr. Williams have been actively involved in HETS initiatives in her continuous interest to contribute to higher education as part of our Board Members.She also served as the Board of Directors Secretary for a four year period, demonstrating her commitment to evolve, learn, and engage in a new educational and technological venture. Last June 30, 2011 after 15 years of service, she was honored by colleagues in a very elegant and emotional farewell ceremony.HETS was no exception, and was also present at this very special moment for Dr. Williams. Representing the HETS Board of Directors, HETS Chairman, Dr. Eduardo Marti, Vice Chancellor for Community Colleges CUNY, Dr. Ricardo Fernández, President of Lehman College (CUNY) and the Executive Director of HETS, Yubelkys Montalvo who expressed their gratitude on behalf of the HETS family.Dr. Ricardo Fernández, President Lehman College and Yubelkys Montalvo, HETS Executive Director awarded Dr. Williams with a commemorative plaque and a very special gift. We wish all the best to Dr. Williams on her new journey.Surely she will be missed and we will be always thankful for her commitment to HETS and her invaluable collaboration and legacy to our Consortium.
