I am Celeste Meza, proud daughter of two immigrants and a first-generation college student. My major is in Liberal Studies focusing on education and preparation for the classroom. I currently work as a Multilingual Student Intern with the San Bernardino City Unified School District, where I mentor high school students who are English learners. As a fellow English learner, I am inspired to encourage my students to work towards their educational goals and language development. Through this role I have found an aspiration for counseling and am hoping to get a Masters in School Counseling. As a graduating senior, I appreciate the opportunity to gain professional development from my Student Ambassador roles at the Office of Vice President of Student Affairs as well as the Career Center. I am grateful to have a creative outlet through the Yotie Film Club as I practice Camera Operation, Acting, and Wardrobe. Additionally, I enjoy my role as the Secretary of the Yotie Film Club. During my free time, I participate in the Adventure program where I go camping, gain cultural experiences, and take time to explore different areas. My favorite aspects of life include the ability to indulge in literature, hikes, and music. I fully emerge myself through my handcrafted jewelry business Celestial Kreationz, which you can find on Instagram. My goals and values are built around the emphasis of staying true to myself, expressing creativity, staying humble, and giving back to the community.
