About
Universidad Ana G. Méndez (UAGM) is a private, non-profit institution of higher education, founded in 1949. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and licensed by the Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions (JIP). It has three main campuses and nine university centers across the island. In addition, it owns the only television channel in Puerto Rico affiliated with the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). UAGM has an enrollment of approximately 23,000 students and offers around 240 academic programs, including technical certificates, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctorates. Through continuing education, it offers professional courses to help you stay up-to-date.

Internships, student trips, and/or cultural experiences that expose students to a bilingual environment or immersion in Spanish: Universidad Ana G. Méndez (UAGM) fosters a diverse study environment that encourages student participation in internship opportunities to expose them to a bilingual setting. In general terms, the institution maintains ongoing agreements with internal and external organizations to provide the necessary tools for the academic and professional development of its students. Financial Aid
Universidad Ana G. Méndez offers, from the TIV aid programs, the following categories: Grant, scholarship, College Work Study, and loan:Pell- Grant, FSEOG-scholarship; Direct Loan Program-loan; Federal College Work Study. From the state-assigned aid to students with academic talent (BETA, for its Spanish acronym). Each aid program is governed by the requirements of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965. In the case of state aid, in addition to the requirements established by the HEA of 1965, the state determines any additional requirements. The study and work program offered by the institution is the Federal Work-Study Program, which is authorized by the U.S. Department of Education (DE, for its English acronym). This program offers students the opportunity to gain work experience while studying. Employment opportunities vary as they depend on the areas available for student placement. The primary requirement is eligibility under the HEA of 1965, and the student’s field of study is also considered.
