HETS presents special recognition and appreciation to President José Jaime Rivera’s on his Farewell during the HETS Board Meeting, June 2014.

Dr. JJRiveraFarewell-2HETS and all its members recognized and highlighted the legacy of Dr. José Jaime Rivera and its outstanding path as President of one of the HETS founding member institutions: Universidad del Sagrado Corazón who is also part of our Executive Committee.

During the recently celebrated HETS meeting, the Board and its representatives, recognized President of Universidad del Sagrado Corazón on his retirement and were thankful of his commitment and valuable contributions to HETS during the past years during a special activity at Lehman College in New York.  As part of the HETS family recognition to this extraordinary leader and person, HETS Chariman Mr. Manuel Fernós, Esq. and Executive Director, Ms. Yubelkys Montalvo presented a tailored craftsmanship to him on behalf of the Consortium. Dr. José Jaime Rivera was the President of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico since November of 1992 with active participation in the Higher Education field, including our Consortium and will be deeply missed.
