Este estudio se concentro? en evaluar los modelos, los me?todos y los criterios utilizados en el proceso de evaluacio?n de programas que, a vez, deben juzgar la calidad en el proceso de ensen?anza y aprendizaje. La investigacio?n se baso? en dos preguntas de investigacio?n: (1) ¿Cua?les son las caracteri?sticas de los modelos, las metodologi?as y los criterios de evaluacio?n exitosos que son apropiados para los programas de educacio?n a distancia? y (2) ¿Cua?les son los modelos de evaluacio?n, la metodologi?a y criterios de evaluacio?n que se utilizan en los programas de educacio?n a distancia en Puerto Rico?
