Dr. Walter Diaz

Dr. Walter Diaz is the Vice President of Student Affairs at Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT. He oversees 17 departments including Housing and Residential Life, Student Conduct, Intercultural Center, Pride Room, the Center for Internship and Career Development, Office of AccessAbility, Wellness Education & Prevention, and the Women’s Center. Diaz has more than 30 years of experience in higher education/student services. He has been recognized by NASPA as Outstanding Senior Student Affairs Officer by the Latino/a Knowledge Community; awarded the Region I-Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Award, and the NASPA Region 1, Network of Educational, Equity, and Ethnic Diversity (NEEED) Award.
