Making Career Choices (2.4)

Joining a Hispanic Professional Organization
Professional Organizations can become an important part of your professional career. Organizations watch for the well being of the profession they represent and its members, sometimes even providing financial aid to for graduate studies to promising individuals. They keep an open path of communication through conventions and meetings and help you with networking. In many instances provide periodicals to publish your work and keep you updated about current issues happening in the field. They also collect and make available to you useful resources and information. Plus, participation in professional organizations adds to your experience and credibility, which are two important assets of a valued expert. You should start thinking about joining one or two.
