To <strong>submit your proposal online<\/strong> visit <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/hets.org\/hets-events\/virtual-hets-best-practices-showcase-2017\/call-for-proposals\/\">2017 VBPS Call for Proposals<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and complete the online form provided <strong>on or before December 2nd, 2016<\/strong>. Don&#8217;t miss this opportunity to share your best practice!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Starting February 9, 2017<\/strong>, HETS will be celebrating it&#8217;s Virtual Best Practices Showcase. The purpose of this virtual conference is to <strong>highlight and celebrate the outstanding work<\/strong> of our <strong>member institutions<\/strong> in <strong>meaningfully and strategically use of technology to achieve Hispanic student success<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Virtual HETS Best Practices Showcase <strong>will focus on three main<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/hets.org\/hets-events\/virtual-hets-best-practices-showcase-2017\/showcase-tracks\/\">Showcase Tracks<\/a><\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Retention and Assessment efforts in Distance Learning<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Internationalization, and<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Placement<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The event will be<strong> a combination of live and asynchronous online presentations<\/strong> with forums to extend the discussion among presenters and audience beyond the scheduled dates. HETS is delighted to invite faculty members, instructional designers, student support staff, distance learning personnel, and other academic and support leaders to showcase and share their most ground-breaking practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The key to the success of this event is the active participation of our members and public in general, as both presenters and collaborators. Please help us promote the <strong>Call for Proposals<\/strong> among your colleagues, it will be <strong>open until December 2nd, 2016<\/strong>. <strong>This event will be free of charge to our member institutions<\/strong> and no travel cost is required to participate since<strong> it will be completely online<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This Virtual Best Practices Showcase is proposed to take place every other year to alternate with the face to face one. This combination of virtual and face to face Best Practices Showcases will provide a continuous space for HETS member institutions sharing their expertise in dealing with the Hispanic population and finding ways to provide them with opportunities to succeed.
