Mr. Javier Zavala Qui\u00f1ones has worked for the past 29 years in higher education in the areas of teaching, institutional research, statistics, planning, assessment, and accreditation. During this time, he collaborated with public and private higher education institutions in the country, as well as the regulatory agency for higher education in Puerto Rico. He has held the positions of Statistician in the Medical Sciences Campus of the UPR; Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research for the Ana G. M\u00e9ndez University; Assistant Vice Chancellor of Appraisal for Universidad del Este; Director of the Center for Studies and Documentation of Higher Education of Puerto Rico for the Council of Higher Education of Puerto Rico, and Director of Institutional Research for the UPR System. For the past 13 years, he has collaborated with the University of Puerto Rico in Bayam\u00f3n as Director of the Office of Planning, Institutional Studies and Accreditation, where he supports all accreditation, assessment, statistics, and institutional research management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Zavala has formal education in psychology, statistics, and project management. He began working with information management in 1997 and since then he has supported multiple organizations and institutions in the development of methods and tools for gathering information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a philosophy of life, Mr. Zavala has the goal of learning something new every day that he can put into use for the achievement of a better country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00d1 <\/strong>El Sr. Javier Zavala Qui\u00f1ones ha trabajado por los pasados 29 a\u00f1os en educaci\u00f3n superior en \u00e1reas de docencia, investigaci\u00f3n institucional, estad\u00edsticas, planificaci\u00f3n, aval\u00fao y acreditaci\u00f3n.\u00a0 En este pasar por el tiempo colabor\u00f3 con instituciones de educaci\u00f3n superior p\u00fablicas y privadas del pa\u00eds, as\u00ed como en la agencia reguladora de la educaci\u00f3n superior de Puerto Rico.\u00a0 Ha ocupado los puestos de Estad\u00edstico en el Recinto de Ciencias M\u00e9dicas de la UPR; Vicepresidente Auxiliar de Investigaci\u00f3n Institucional para el Universidad Ana G. M\u00e9ndez; Vicerrector Auxiliar de Aval\u00fao para la Universidad del Este; Director del Centro de Estudios y Documentaci\u00f3n de la Educaci\u00f3n Superior de Puerto Rico para el Consejo de Educaci\u00f3n Superior de Puerto Rico, y Director de Investigaci\u00f3n Institucional para el Sistema UPR.\u00a0 Por los pasados 13 a\u00f1os colabora con la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Bayam\u00f3n como Director de la Oficina de Planificaci\u00f3n, Estudios Institucionales y Acreditaci\u00f3n, donde apoya toda gesti\u00f3n de acreditaci\u00f3n, aval\u00fao, estad\u00edstica e investigaci\u00f3n institucional.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Sr. Zavala posee educaci\u00f3n formal en psicolog\u00eda, estad\u00edsticas y gerencia de proyectos.  Comenz\u00f3 a trabajar con manejo de la informaci\u00f3n para el 1997 y desde entonces ha apoyado a m\u00faltiples organizaciones e instituciones en el desarrollo de m\u00e9todos y herramientas para el acopio de informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
