HETS is delighted to present a new professional development program called: Learning Technologies Leadership Academy<\/strong> (H-LTLA), focused on developing the next generation of leaders<\/strong> with a special emphasis<\/strong> on the challenges and opportunities present at Hispanic Serving Institutions<\/strong> (HSIs). The Academy’s\u00a0main goal<\/strong>\u00a0is to provide the\u00a0competencies to prepare professionals<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0advance their careers<\/strong>\u00a0to the\u00a0next level<\/strong>\u00a0and pursue administrative or senior leadership roles. The H-LTLA format includes an\u00a0online program<\/strong>\u00a0scheduled to start<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0August 3 to 6<\/strong>, 2021 through the\u00a0HETS Bb Collaborate<\/strong>\u00a0platform. For\u00a0four days<\/strong>, attendees will\u00a0gain knowledge and skills<\/strong>\u00a0through synchronous presentations offered by leaders in the higher education community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The H-LTLA<\/strong> curriculum<\/strong> will be in English or Spanish<\/strong> and consists of topics related to Academic Technology<\/strong>, Online Learning<\/strong>, Instructional\/ Curriculum Design, Teaching and Learning, Project Management, Accreditation, Professional Development<\/strong>, and Data for Digital Learning<\/strong>. The topics have been selected to prepare higher education leaders to understand how to transform their organizations<\/strong> so they can prepare and support<\/strong> their institutions to be more resilient, flexible, and relevant<\/strong> as they face an array of increasingly difficult challenges<\/strong>. Eligibility is open to individuals whose job is to promote and facilitate<\/strong> the adoption of teaching and learning technologies<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acceptance to the H-LTLA<\/strong> is made through a competitive application<\/strong> process, drawn from all divisions<\/strong> of the institutions, schools, or related organizations. An Evaluation Committee<\/strong>, composed of senior staff at HETS Member Institutions, will be selecting<\/strong> the most competitive applications <\/strong>with compelling evidence that the candidate meets all the requirements to take full advantage<\/strong> of the Academy<\/strong>.
