This is a <strong>peer review journal<\/strong> that started on year 2010, with <strong>issues published<\/strong> every semester. The HETS journal <strong>addresses relevant topics impacting technology and Hispanic Students<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>including<\/strong> <strong>student retention<\/strong> and assessment, and the very important topic of <strong>student access<\/strong>. As our Chair, Dr. Carlos Vargas-Aburto said on his message: \u201cthe Fall 2019 issue is <strong>a special collaborative effort<\/strong> between <strong>HETS and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)<\/strong>. This collaborative issue highlights the organizations\u2019 shared mission: to <strong>facilitate the success of Hispanic students<\/strong> in higher education.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13439\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13439\" style=\"width: 182px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13439\" src=\"https:\/\/hets.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/AFlores_Color1-1-224x280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"182\" height=\"228\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13439\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Antonio Flores, HACU President &amp; CEO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As a result of this <strong>strategic collaboration<\/strong> and <strong>team effort<\/strong>, we appreciate Dr, Antonio Flores, president &amp; CEO of HACU comments: \u201cwe are particularly thrilled to see faculty and administrators at HACU-member institutions represented among the authors in this edition. The HETS Journal maintains an important role in the world of academic publishing in higher education. I trust you will find this issue to be a useful resource as we collectively work to serve the 3.6 million Hispanic students enrolled in colleges and universities across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We would like to recognize <strong>Dr. Luis Cifuentes<\/strong>, Vice President of Research and Dean of the Graduate School at New Mexico State University, who represented HACU as <strong>invited editor<\/strong>, and two <strong>invited <\/strong><strong>reviewers<\/strong><strong> on this issue; Dr. Marielly Galarza, Dr. Barbara Flores<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> <strong>Likewise, our<\/strong><strong> sincere<\/strong> gratitude to\u00a0<strong>editor in Chief, Pamela Vargas<\/strong>, and members of the Editorial Board: <strong>Dr. Ana Milena Lucumi, Mr. Sunil Gupta, Dr. Manuel Correa, Dr. Carlos Morales, Mr. Carlos Guevara, Dr. Juan \u201cTito\u201d Mel\u00e9ndez, Prof. Pura Centeno<\/strong> for once again, accepting the challenge of reviewing and selecting the articles among the many impressive submissions received<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We encourage you to <strong>forward<\/strong> the link to <strong>HETS Online Journal<\/strong> with your colleagues.\u00a0In addition, we invite you to <strong>consider submitting an article <\/strong>to share your knowledge and experience in any of these areas impacting higher education.
