Prior to coming to BCC, she served as an Adjunct Lecturer at both Hostos Community College and Lehman College. While at Lehman College, earned her Doctorate in Biology (subprogram Plant Sciences) as a CUNY Graduate Center student. Sarkar joined BCC as assistant professor in 2003. There became interested in Pedagogical research when asked to put together a professional Development Plan, and believe that that was one of the best thing that happened to her, since it has allowed her to reflect on my teaching and to improve and grow as an educator.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0 Dr. Sarkar teach various Biology courses in the department and have had the opportunity to work with students from all academic programs. Was selected to serve as STEM Faculty\u00a0from Biology department to design and conduct NSF grant funded\u00a0workshops for students interested in science majors.\u00a0 Have been the course coordinator for Microbiology and Infection Control (BIO 28) and Diagnostic Microbiology (BIO 44) for years. She teach Writing-Intensive, Traditional and Hybrid versions of Microbiology and Infection Control course. As a course coordinator she have been an integral part of developing assessment tools for the Microbiology Courses mentioned above and responsible for collecting and compiling the assessment data every semester and submitting report to the College. To complete the degree, he successfully defended a doctoral dissertation titled: <em>The Impact of Uncertainty Business Environment in the Strategic Posture, Strategic Flexibility, and Organizational Design Flexibility in Local Manufacturing Companies in Puerto Rico.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">He began working at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in 1996 as a Professor, where he teaches courses in economics, finance, statistics, and research at graduate and undergraduate level.
