Prior to coming to Queensborough, he was an adjunct professor at York College, also located in Queens, New York, for ten years where he taught Business Law.\u00a0 Both colleges are part of the City University of New York.\u00a0 In addition to teaching, Professor Francis is one of the faculty advisors to the school\u2019s mock trial team.\u00a0 The team remains the only community college in the Eastern Regional competition.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Francis is currently on the Curriculum Committee for a new early college\/high school program to begin in the Fall of 2014. The program is a partnership between Queensborough Community College, NYC Department of Education and SAP AG, a German multinational software corporation. Through a series of grants from New York State, New York City Department of Education and SAP AG, the students of B-Tech will receive a free Associates degree from Queensborough Community College in either Computer Information Systems or Internet Technology and a \u201cfirst-in-line\u201d opportunity to work for SAP AG or one of its many global partners.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Francis is also an attorney admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut and he is also admitted in the federal court of the United States for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court.\u00a0 He received his J.D. degree from St. John\u2019s University School of Law and maintained his own law office for over twenty years.
