She has a Master Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayag\u00fcez Campus and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching in Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico, R\u00edo Piedras Campus.\u00a0With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she worked on various professional development projects for teachers and as designer of online Mathematics modules.
