\nHostos Community College
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Professor Sandy Figueroa, M.S., has been at Hostos Community College since 1976 as an adjunct and then from 1979 as an instructor in the Secretarial Science Department.\u00a0 In 1980, the College went through a re-organization process and the Secretarial Science Department became one of three units in the Business Department.\u00a0 The other units were:\u00a0 Business and Accounting and Data Processing.\u00a0 Since 1999, Professor Figueroa has been teaching in the Computer Information Systems Unit.\u00a0 From 2003 until 2006, she was the chair of the Business Department.\u00a0 Currently, Professor Figueroa is the Coordinator for the Office Technology Unit of the Business Department.\u00a0 Professor Figueroa is chair of a number of college-wide committees, including the Curriculum Committee, and has served on a number of committees in the Business Department and the College.\u00a0 She is a founding of member of the Peer Observation Improvement Network for Teaching (POINT).<\/p>\n
